Local Actors Meet "Little House On The Prairie" Star

TOMS RIVER - Leslie Bachler and Frank Polk of Toms River met with Melissa Gilbert and her son, Michael, back stage at the Paper Mill Playhouse following a performance of "Little House On The Prairie -The Musical," starring Melissa Gilbert as "Ma." The show runs through October 10 before continuing on a 31-city tour.
It was a dream come true for Bachler and Polk, as they are big fans of the TV series that aired in the '70s. Last year, they both traveled to Walnut Grove, Minnesota to visit the home of the real Ingalls family portrayed in the show.
"The show was fabulous," said Polk. "It's a must-see for fans of the TV series."
"Meeting with Melissa after the show was wonderful," added Bachler. Bachler and Polk are actors in the Ocean County theater group, The Starlight Performers, whose next show, "Hope Springs," will be on May 8, 2010, at Toms River High School North.
